The Texas Heart® Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital - The Denton A. Cooley Building opened for the first time in 2002. The new ten-story, 327,000 square-foot building, located prominently at the corner of Bates Street and Bertner Avenue, adjacent to St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital,contains the full spectrum of cardiovascular services. The Denton A. Cooley Building will further increase our leadership in cardiovascular research and patient care.

The new building includes:

  • 12 new operating rooms
  • cardiovascular recovery beds
  • post-interventional floor
  • transplant floor
  • progressive care floor
  • imaging facility
  • telemedicine center
  • two floors dedicated to research
  • museum 325-seat conference center
