Brain and Pituitary Tumors

Through modern techniques, our doctors* are often able to safely and effectively treat brain and pituitary tumors with faster recovery times and often without incisions.

Pituitary Tumors
Pituitary masses or adenoma are the most common cause of pituitary hormone secretion abnormality.  Approximately 15 percent of all intracranial masses are pituitary in origin. Most pituitary tumors are benign, or non-cancerous.  The symptoms associated with pituitary adenomas are varied according to the exact pituitary cells involved in the mass.  Pituitary masses are classified according to their size – microadenomas for masses less than 1 cm and macroadenomas for masses greater than 1 cm.
