St. Luke's Urology Center, a program of our urology services, offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for men and women. The Center sees adults referred by physicians on both an out-patient and in-patient basis.

Consisting of three procedure rooms and a fluoroscopy suite, the Center features the latest equipment and is among select facilities to offer video urodynamic studies.

The highly trained staff is experienced in evaluating numerous lower urinary tract conditions, including:

  • Urinary retention
  • Incontinence
  • Prostate enlargement
  • Neurogenic bladder
  • Voiding dysfunction

PROCEDURES

  • Urodynamic studies
    • CMG (cystometrogram)
    • UPP (urethral pressure profile)
    • LPP (leak point pressure)
    • FPF (fill pull flow)
    • EMG (electromyogram)
    • Pressure flow study
    • Intra-abdominal pressure flow
    • Flow rate/ uroflow
  • Video urodynamic studies – voiding urethrocystogram (Link to urodynamics testing page)
  • Bladder ultrasound
  • Pelvic floor rehabilitation (biofeedback) for male and female urinary incontinence (Link to pelvic floor rehabilitation page)
  • Nephrostograms
  • Simple prostate ultrasound

The following procedures are performed under local anesthesia:

  • Cystoscopy – inspection of the bladder with a flexible and rigid scope
  • Prostate biopsy-ultrasound guided
  • Urethral implants - coaptite
  • InterStim® testing- placement of temporary leads under fluoroscopy
  • Bladder Botox injection

HOW PROCEDURES ARE SCHEDULED
Patients can schedule appointments for pelvic floor rehabilitation and urodynamics performed without video. A physician’s office must schedule all other procedures and tests, all of which are performed by a physician. Results of most diagnostic exams are available and sent to the patient’s physician within hours.
